Sustainability is at the heart of what we do
While sustainability has social connotations, environmental sustainability remains a key component. Anthropogenic climate change is one of the single largest issues of our time and we must all take action to tackle this.
We are committed to minimising our carbon footprint and as our business grows we will look increasingly towards carbon neutrality
Reduce
We do our best to minimise our carbon footprint, whether that’s through reduced travel, recycling or by other means.
Offset
We look at offsetting some of our carbon emissions on a quarterly basis through investment in certified carbon offset projects such as reforestation and clean energy technologies
Avoid
We do not work with businesses that invest directly or indirectly in fossil fuels or in industries that burn significant amounts of fossil fuels. Practically speaking this means we will not work with clients invested in the following sectors which, combined, account for 70% of global greenhouse gas emissions (IPCC, 2014):
- Electricity and heat production
- Energy intensive heavy industry
- Agriculture and other land use
in all cases unless the focus of the investment is on clean technology and/or emissions reduction or the client otherwise has its own ESG policies aimed at offsetting the emissions footprint associated with its investment approach.
