Following on from our launch announcement, we’d like to properly introduce Dave Bridger, our Head of Fund Administration.

Dave is a chartered accountant with significant fund administration experience who has been working in the closed ended funds space since 2013.

Dave spent the first part of his career at Tenon completing company audits across the South of England before moving into private equity fund administration with the Aztec Group. After spending nearly nine years with Aztec, he left his Associate Director role to move to Crestbridge UK, where he headed the Southampton office and led the internal outsourcing of the firm’s accounting functions across the Jersey, London and Luxembourg client facing teams.

When asked about his decision to partner with Andy and James to launch the Corvus Group Dave commented:

“I’m delighted to be reuniting with Andy and James after our time at Aztec, who have spent the past four and a half years building a highly respected legal advisory business under the Corvus brand. The expansion into the administration space will enable us to provide a combined administrative and advisory service proposition which we believe will be unique in the market.

Having been in the fund administration business for over 10 years now, I’m looking forward to being able to utilise my experience to shape the direction of the business. Being a truly new entrant to the market, Corvus is in a great position to take a fresh look at operational workflows and leverage the latest technology, all with a view to providing a seamless, integrated and flexible service to our clients.”

When asked about the current state and prospects of the UK and Luxembourg as fund structuring domiciles, Dave noted:

“Whilst Luxembourg remains a compelling option for certain managers, we firmly believe that the time is right for the UK to re-emerge as a structuring destination of choice for UK sponsors.  As Luxembourg increasingly struggles to service the weight of funds work flowing there, there are clear tax, regulatory, cost and service quality arguments for looking to the UK as a genuine alternative.”
