Andrew is a qualified solicitor and chartered tax advisor who has worked in the closed-ended funds and asset management space since 2010.
Andrew began his career in the City and following qualification in 2005, spent six years in private practice in London, Jersey and Bristol before moving in house to occupy a split front/back office executive level role at a large independent specialist closed-ended fund administrator acting as Group Head of Legal and Group Head of Depositary Services. Immediately prior to founding Corvus in September 2019, Andrew was employed as General Counsel for Asante Capital Group, a leading independent venture capital and private equity focussed Global advisory and private markets placement group.
Andrew is a pragmatic, solution focussed and commercially-minded business adviser with significant operational and strategic exposure across the closed-ended funds and asset management sectors.
Over the course of his career Andrew has established regulated operating footprints; designed, built, marketed and managed product verticals with multi-jurisdictional cross border teams; and has helped to shape the growth and strategic direction of the businesses in which he has worked.
Andrew brings a range of legal, regulatory, compliance, operational, financial, management, strategic and marketing skills to the Corvus team.
Andrew holds a BSc in Plant Biology from the University of Durham, completed the PgDL and LPC with distinction at the College of Law (now the University of Law) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. Andrew also holds a PgDL in Forestry from the University of Bangor and is a CASI level II accredited snowboard instructor.
