Karen is a Non-Executive Director of Corvus Group and the Chief Operating Officer of the Federated Hermes Private Equity business (“Federated Hermes Private Equity”).
Karen brings a wealth of fund operations and accounting experience to the Corvus Group, advising the board on matters of corporate strategy, governance and the optimisation of systems and processes to maximise client delivery through the provision of a quality service.
In her role as Chief Operating Officer of Federated Hermes Private Equity, Karen holds overall responsibility for implementing and maintaining a best-in-class operational infrastructure for Federated Hermes Private Equity’s clients, investment teams, business development function and operations team. Karen is also heavily involved in the design and implementation of Federated Hermes Private Equity’s growth strategies and the planning and prioritisation of its strategic initiatives. Karen sits on the Federated Hermes Private Markets Management Committee and is a member of the Federated Hermes Private Equity Senior Management Team.
In addition to her position as Chief Operating Officer of Federated Hermes Private Equity, Karen is Vice-Chair of both Invest Europe’s Working Group on Accounting Standards, Valuation and Reporting, and Invest Europe’s Professional Standards Committee. She is also Vice Chair of the British Venture Capital Association Accounting, Reporting & Governance Committee, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Karen holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Criminology and a Master of Arts in Psychoanalysis. At the Real Deals 2021 ‘The Drawdown Awards’, Karen received the accolade of ‘COO of the Year’.
